- Watch the weather. Children are vulnerable to extremes in the weather. If it is hot and humid, you should take measures to prevent over-exhaustion or dehydration. If it is cold or windy, your child should be dressed.
- Practice what you preach. Your children will follow your example, so make sure you take proper safety measures and are a good role model.
