Wilton’s practice focuses on enforcing the rights of financial service and other business clients. He also advises clients on best practices relating to regulation compliance and achieves their objectives by employing practical efficient and strategic litigation tactics. Wilton manages the contested space for the Maryland department of the firm and is responsible for a statewide docket of commercial cases. He is involved in all stages of litigation, including pre trial investigations, settlement negotiations, discovery, drafting dispositive motions, mediation, trial and post-trial judgment enforcement. Wilton has experience in both state and federal courts.
Before joining the firm, Wilton was a partner at a regional law firm where he supervised its District of Columbia litigation department. He resolved disputes for his business clients involving the collection of their receivables, and litigated complex issues including discrimination and premises liability claims. Wilton also maintains a deep commitment to pro bono work as he has trained numerous attorneys in Montgomery County, Maryland who volunteer to represent eligible litigants primarily in District Court practice.
